The core material of these beautiful knives in the Yaxell Super Gou Gift Set with Santoku and Office Knife is ultra-hard SG2 Micro-Carbide powder stainless steel that is coated on each side with 80 layers of soft and hard stainless steel. This powdered steel is high in carbon and has an unprecedented hardness of about 63 Rockwell. Powdered steel is used because it guarantees a high degree of purity and an exceptionally sharp cutting edge. The surface impresses with a fascinating Damascus design pattern - a symbol of the highest quality knife and the special Super GOU 161 layers.

The beautiful handle is made of FDA-approved red-black Canvas-Micarta, an odorless and extremely durable material made of resin and linen. The Canvas material is painted red and black and brilliantly finished. This material will last for decades. The handle is securely fastened using three stainless steel rivets. The handle is supported by the high-quality 18-10 stainless steel interior, which gives the blade excellent stability and balance. The trademark 'GOU' is engraved on the handle end in a noble style. The shape of the handle allows tireless work in all cutting techniques.
